got everything pluged in and installed cept the fuel enrichment relay, anyways, when i cranked the car it jumps to 5,000 rpms for 4-6 seconds then drops to 1,000 rpm and revs up to 3,500 rpms then drops and repeats it over and over. my car used to do that when it was cold and it would stop when warm, now it wont stop at all, and it keeps doing it, anyone know a solution?

    Lightbulb

Check you IACV is working, check to make sure there are no vaccum leaks.

Check the TB gasket where the passage for the IACV is to make sure there are no vaccum leaks.

This wil cause eratic idle behavior.

Do you a get a check engine light ?
If so, what are the codes ? ...

    Hi,

Welcome to the JRSC family :0)

About the idle prob: Do a search for "hunting idle", there's a lot of stuff on this subject in the archives. Lookfor FITV (Fast Idle Thermal Valve).

About your other problem... if you're serious about driving straight to Jim after the install is done, you could probably zip tie the bypass valve open and forget about the relay altogether. It'll become scrap anyway when you go Hondata. I'd shoot Jim an email to check if he agrees with my advice first though :-)

    Good luck,

    Mark.

    my setup

    1995 integra gsr
    JRSC 8psi , showin only 5psi
    Aem CAI
DC Sports 4-2-1 Headers, gettin kami's
    stock exhaust, tsudo muffler.
    STR Fuel Rail
    B&M FPR
    Autometer Boost gauge

i noticed that my car when its at 1,000 rpms it sits at -10 vac then the car revs up till it hits -25 vac and it does this repeatedly and very slow.

hopefully replacing those two gaskets helps me out. its really gettin annoying and i don't wanna damage my engine.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Did you stick your finger in the FITV valve hole as described in the threads I pointed out to you? What happened?

Here's a simple test to see if you've got a really bad vac leak. My engine idles at about 21..22" of vacuum. If I shut down the engine (without touching the throttle) the vacuum shown on the boost gauge should "leak away" slowly. It takes takes about 4 seconds before my gauge reads 0. If you really have a bad vacuum leak it should fall back to 0 much quicker. Obviously you have to do this test with a warm engine, otherwise the FITV will be open...

Keep it up, you'll get there :-)
